122 students participated in Pierre Sadek Foundation contest and 38 of them have been nominated for expressing an explicit message in their drawings.
The Graphic Design program is proud of its senior student Rami Rikka who recently won at BDL Accelerate. Rami had applied with peers from LAU to participate in the hackathon, where teams spent 48 hours working together to build a beta-prototype of a technology-based solution that would disrupt the health and medical sector.
LAU received the special award for best university of the year at the Dubai Lynx due to the Graphic Design students soaring success. Our students Chelsea Abi Saab and Nadia Khabbaz picked up first and second prizes respectively for the du student integrated award, and to add to that list of achievements, LAU students made up over half those shortlisted for the award this year.
Our own fashion design student, Nour Daher, was awarded with the Special Stone award by the Italian design company: Origin, Passion, and Beliefs. The competition was about fashion entrepreneurship where Nour admitted her portfolio along 4000 applicants, 28 were elected and 7 prizes were given.
Fashion Design student Karen Abou Alwan was chosen to attend the Elie Saab fashion show backstage in Paris. The experience gave her an insight on the organization and professionalism needed to make the show happen.
