October 16, 2018

Christine Kettaneh, an LAU fine arts alumna with an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design became known as an investigation of the limit of language and systems in research-based works that are at the same time sculptural and performative.

One of her most recent work is “Point Of Letting Go”, a project that asked people to exchange their soap with a new one. when the moment came that they no longer wanted to keep them. “Points of Letting Go” won Christine the YICCA prize in June 2018. For the month of April, this ever growing library was part of numerous art interventions in China and Madrid.

Her movie “Feelers” was also exhibited in Europe. Christine screened her film in MACRO Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome in Octobre. The following month, the movie was awarded ‘Best Experimental Short Film’ in the Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes.

As for the future, Christine is looking to have a solo exhibition in Lebanon during early 2019. Do not miss it!
