This year, the third annual fashion show attested to the myriad of talents among its graduates, and to the power of collaboration with ELIE SAAB and London College of Fashion (LCF).
Congratulations are in order to the two fashion design students Lea-Maria Nahas and Diala Dabbous for winning the Inas Abou Ayyash Foundation (IAAF) Best Entrepreneurial Project 2018, an award that was competed for by students from different departments and faculties of the university.
In February 2019, the Dean of the school (Elie Haddad), the Chair of the Department of Art and Design (Randa Abdel Baki) and the head of the Fashion Design program (Jason Steel) went to a 3 day visit to see the LCF facilities across London, their incredible equipment and technology and how they are being used.
In what can be described as a fun, interactive and quirky talk, Karen Heard, a London College of Fashion Academic, shared with the room how an idea grows from a thought or interaction into a full fledged multi-facetted project.
The talk has been the culmination of two projects proposed by Heard to the first year students and seniors.
