Bettina Badr, a regular at the Salon D’Automne

November 05, 2018

Our fine arts professor Bettina Badr graduated from the Lebanese University with a Diplome d'Etudes Superieures in fine arts in 2001, and a Master's degree in Visual Arts in 2012. Though she spent her years teaching and developing her own sense of artistry, she never stops attending local and international workshops.

A regular face in exhibitions, she held solo exhibits in Beirut’s Entretemps Gallery in 2001, at the “Salon d’ Automne” in 2010, at Kromatik Art Gallery in 2012, and most recently exhibiting for the third time at this year’s “Salon d’Automne”.

Bettina paints various shapes using color and contrast, reducing subjects to their basic forms. The work is composed of different fragments, which, put together, form a coherent whole. As such, no single painting is complete on its own; and is constantly forming and reforming.
